My daughters love cooking with me in the kitchen and we love trying new things so when we first saw a spiral slicer we thought they were really cool and would be fun to use. Well we finally got our hands on one and it is as fun as we thought it would be. You can use a spiral slicer on all kinds of veggies from potatoes to zucchini, cucumbers to carrots. I let the kids pick what we tested it out on first and of course they chose potatoes to make ribbon fries. We eat ribbon fries at the fair all the time but had never made them at home before. The spiral slicer is very easy to use but it is like a big pencil sharpener so you do have to be careful that your fingers do not poke into the wrong places or it will cut you but thankfully we did not have that happen. Our spiral slicer came in a nice little storage/gift box and has 2 little brushes for cleaning the blades so your fingers are safe and 2 protective caps to go on the ends. This really has a been a fun new tool to use in the kitchen and I look forward to using it much much more with the kids. Lipogaine for Women Review

Over the last few years I have had a major problem with my hair thinning, every time I take a shower or brush my hair it just seems to come out in clumps. Nothing that I have tried to slow or stop the thinning has helped and doctors are pretty much useless on the matter.    My daughter has a very noticeable scar on the tip of her nose where she fell on a lawn chair when she was only 3 years old and managed to hit her nose right on the spiky part that clicks when you fold the chair (sorry I have no clue what that piece is called). SimPrium Silicone Heat Resistant Gloves Review & Giveaway

I love to cook for my family rather it be on the stove, the grill or in one of my crockpot's. So when I was offered the opportunity to try these cute silicone gloves in teal blue (love that color) I knew I would have no trouble putting them to the test. 

First I have to say that I love the color of them and they are covered in cute little hearts which are so adorable. I used them for removing a chicken casserole from the oven and they did a great job at protecting my hands from getting burned. So I was thinking about other things they would be great to use for and I thought about the microwave and how hot everything is when you take it out of the microwave. I do not always use something to protect my hands when removing items from the microwave even though I know I should because with traditional oven mitts you just can not get a good enough hold on a plate or tv dinner. My kids are at the age now though where they think they can do anything, including removing hot dishes form the microwave so I let them test out these gloves with my supervision of course. Even though the gloves are a bit big for my children's small hands they did a great job of protecting them from the hot surfaces and allowing them to bend their hands and fingers so they can get a safe grip on the plate. This gloves are a nice addition to the kitchen and it would be great if they made them in a smaller version for the kids to use when working in the kitchen with supervision.
